Understand locked features and access checks
Find out why something looks locked and what to check before assuming there is a bug.
Where this lives
Every operational Booking Pirate feature is included free with unlimited usage. If an operational control looks disabled, the cause is permissions, setup state, or missing required data—not a paid product tier. The only subscription-gated area is the private Priority Support portal.
Common reasons a feature is locked
- The signed-in user may not have permission to use reports, billing/access, or editing tools.
- Some controls stay disabled until earlier setup steps are completed.
- Required business data may be missing, such as a Stripe connection, product availability, delivery settings, or website settings.
How to verify
- Open Business Settings > Support & Billing to review optional support access.
- Compare what an owner sees versus what a staff role sees.
- Read the surrounding validation text because many locked controls explain what prerequisite is missing.
- If Priority Support is locked, use the Help Center or critical bug/security email route, or subscribe for private tracking, attachments, history, and priority response.
